Hi! I'm Kitty Boda, a floral designer based on the ancestral and traditional lands of Syilx and Okanagan people in the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia. As owner of Miscellany + Co, I have experience with floral farming, event planning, and floral design since 2015. I focus on crafting conscious floral designs for weddings and events throughout the Okanagan, and also am open to travel. 

Through my art and craft, I strive to reflect the fleeting, ever changing cycle of seasons and growing. To get to play with the colors, textures, weights, and flow of florals and to end up with different designs every time is a joy. A joy that I hope shines through my designs.

I prioritize sustainable and responsible floral design. This means I work with florals grown from my own flower patch, local Okanagan farms, or other BC farmers. I also believe in working with the seasons as well, so determining flower options by what is available. This means paying attention to the patterns and rhythms of flowers and enjoying them while they’re here, drying them to enjoy in the off season, and resting and anticipating the blooms coming back again next season. I do not use floral foam nor do I use bleached or dyed products. All my products and packaging are either compostable, recyclable, or reused/reusable. Every year I strive to do better: this year I am committed to using 100% BC grown flowers and to educating myself on native and invasive plants.
